Ready to expand your consciousness by facing the Shadow?
ENCOUNTERS WITH THE SHADOW:
Introduction to Jungian Shadow Work
A 4-class course that will give you an in-depth understanding of Jung’s concept of the Shadow along with guidance and tools to help you bring awareness to your unconscious world, heal your wounds, and unlock your gifts.
“Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate.”
– Carl Jung
Have you ever wondered why certain patterns and stories seem to keep repeating in your life?
Maybe you’ve heard yourself saying things like…
“All my relationships turn out the same way.”
“People are always letting me down!”
“I keep having this experience over and over again…”
If so, there may be a common denominator worth looking at… and it will likely be found in the Shadow.
The concept of the Shadow was originated by Carl Jung, who called it: “That which I do not wish to be.”
Whether we’re conscious of it or not, when we deny, repress, suppress, disown, or hide parts of us that do not neatly fit in with who we believe ourselves to be, they inevitably burst forth unconsciously.
But when we are able to bring awareness to our Shadow aspects, we can accept our complexity and live out the full richness of the human experience.
If you could…
- Become more conscious of Shadow aspects within yourself and others
- Gain an understanding of your shadow projections and how they affect how your perception of the world
- Discover tools to bring awareness to your unconscious world that you can apply for life
- Improve your relationships through an understanding of projections and transference
- Deepen your connection to your unconscious and live a more soulful, creative life
- Unlock the hidden gifts in your Shadow so that you can become your fully realized “golden self”
…What other mysteries might the Shadow reveal to you?
You’re invited to explore the “innermost cave” of your consciousness…

Introduction to Jungian Shadow Work
A 4-class course that will give you an in-depth understanding of Jung’s concept of the Shadow along with guidance and tools to help you bring awareness to your unconscious world, heal your wounds, and unlock your gifts.
Like a dragon guarding its treasure, the Shadow is hiding so much gold… if we’re bold enough to face it.
A cornerstone of Jungian psychology, exploring the Shadow is the first step in what Jung calls “individuation,” the process of becoming more whole and aligned with our purpose.
According to Jung, individuation is the purpose of all inner work… to become the fully realized self that fills in our part of the mosaic of humanity.
While Shadow Work is more popular than ever, many are missing core knowledge of this rich, complex aspect of the human psyche.
Led by master teacher James Hollis, Encounters With The Shadow offers a rare opportunity for both beginner and advanced students to delve deeply into this essential concept that informs all other Jungian work.

All of these fascinating topics and more will be covered in 4 hour-long sessions.
