Arash Golnam is a psychoanalyst trained at the C.G. Jung Institute in Zurich. A citizen of both Iran and Switzerland, he now call Lima, Peru my home. His personal and professional journey weaves together Persian poetry, Jungian psychoanalysis, and plant medicine—a rich tapestry of traditions, cultures, and paradigms spanning continents and centuries. This global matrix has profoundly shaped and deepened his understanding of the psyche.

Thanks to his father, a devoted teacher of Persian literature, he was immersed in the world of Persian poetry and mythology from an early age. This mystic heritage opened his first window to the soul and eventually led him to the work of Carl Jung. He  is currently focused on the study of Persian mystical poetry, with a particular emphasis on the symbolic, psychological, and archetypal dimensions of Hafez’s work. He presented his initial findings in a thesis at the C.G. Jung Institute and is now adapting and expanding it into a book.

Before dedicating himself fully to psychoanalysis, he held diverse roles as a university lecturer, scientist, consultant, and engineer. His academic path led him to the C.G. Jung Institute following a Ph.D. in Systems Science from École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne and a Master of Science in System Dynamics from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
