Course Overview
Class 1 Intro to coaching by Akke-Jeanne
This class covers the similarities and differences between coaching and Jungian coaching. We also explore the differences between coaching, mentoring, and therapy. This helps you to understand when to coach and when to refer someone. Next Akke-Jeanne discusses the main coaching accreditation bodies and their importance. Accreditation ensures professional standards and builds trust with clients. The ethical practices and contracting are also discussed. Contracting sets clear agreements about goals, roles, and boundaries. It ensures both coach and client know what to expect. Ethics in coaching help protect both the coach and the client. By the end of this class, you will be able to explain how to coach responsibly and effectively.
Class 2 Building rapport and the ‘right’ relationship in coaching by Lisa
Authentic connection is the foundation of transformative coaching. This class explores how to cultivate rapport, trust, and ‘right relationship’—a dynamic of mutual respect, openness, and accountability. Lisa examines how presence, transparency, and non-judgment create a space where clients feel seen and empowered. She will explore empathy, compassion, and the impact of unconscious projections. By showing up as your true selves, you invite clients to do the same, fostering deep engagement and self-trust. This class covers topics essential for navigating relational ruptures, holding boundaries, and embodying congruence in coaching practice.
Class 3 Deep listening and asking questions by Lisa (+ example)
Deep listening is more than hearing words—it is a full-bodied, attuned presence that allows for deeper understanding and transformation. This class explores listening as a multidimensional experience: the spoken words (lyrics), the emotional tone (melody), body language (rhythm), and the unspoken (silences that shape meaning). Through a Jungian coaching lens, this session examines how to discern what belongs to the coach versus what serves the client. Engaging with metaphor, experiential exercises, and reflection, this course refines the ability to listen with full presence, attune to underlying emotions, and navigate the space between words. This class also features a Jungian coaching illustration.
Class 4Â Raising awareness and the role of the coach by LisaÂ
This class focuses on mirroring, sharing observations, and giving feedback. The goal of these skills is to raise the client’s self-awareness gently and carefully. They require subtlety and must be finely tuned to each client.
When done right, they build intimacy and deepen the coaching relationship. However, if not handled well, they can feel like judgments. In this class we explore how to avoid this and create a safe space. As a result of these skills, clients gain self-insight through coaching. They feel empowered to make better decisions. This helps to increase their sense of agency. This is what coaching is about.
