Honor the Soul at the center of your coaching
In this free introductory talk, Akke-Jeanne Klerk shows how Jungian coaching aims at listening to the guide within. This inner guide is also known as the Soul or what Carl Jung called the Self.
The relationship with the inner guide, helps us become who we truly are. This is what Carl Jung means with the individuation process. When we follow the hints of the inner guide, we will find our own unique path in life. In this talk, complex Jungian concepts like ego, persona, shadow, and the Self are simplified. This makes them easy to understand for everyone.
Jungian coaching focuses on the ego-Self axis, or in other words, the relationship a client has with their inner guide. What are the guide’s desires? What shadow work is asking our attention? What topics for personal development are being raised? How to become more ‘whole’?
This talk concludes with a short overview of the Jungian coaching model.

This free introductory talk gives you a very general idea of what Jungian coaching is all about. What is Jungian coaching? What is unique to it and how is it similar and different from other types of coaching? How does the Jungian approach affect the way we partner with our clients?

Akke-Jeanne is Jung Platform’s co-founder & Jungian Coach. Her background consists of a Master’s in Psychology, and several years of training in Jungian Analysis. She is the author of ‘Psychology of Heartbreak’ (in Dutch) and has offered trainings on coaching for over a decade.
